The best: lunch menu at 10€. It's like the best deal you could ever get in the whole Italy 🇮🇹. Lunch is brucheta+primo+secondo+dessert+water+coffee. Portions are big, even with just the bruscheta and the primo I was full. Taste of the food is good. The attention is nice too. Reservations are mandatory because is a really small place, with just 6 to 7 tables inside. House wine also good. This is going to be one of my fave points in Rome, for sure.
OK where to start? This osteria is my roman empire. It has a special place in my heart. I was in Rome in march 2023 and we ate at this osteria two nights with my friend. We loved it so much. So cozy, so local, everything was incredibly delicious and affordable plus everyone was so kind. I LOVE everything about this place. I keep thinking about it and miss it so much! I can’t wait to visit again when I’m back in Rome.
I was looking for a simple place to have a lunch in this area of Rome, not the most touristic one. What a discovery! For 10€ you have a simple but super good lunch with a bruschetta, pasta, dessert, coffee, water.. all included! And very nice service as well: I didn’t book but the person gave me a place outside (yes, it was hot but still in the shadow). Thus a piece of advice: book it!
It feels like you're in the living room of a Roman family. The parents ran this restaurant and now their sons do. One of them is the waiter, taking absolute care of you, translating the menu, bringing water and wine and whatever you require to have the best time of your life. His brother cooks the best food in town and he's quick as well! Wow, not used to this in the Netherlands (where I'm from).
Lunch menu 10 euros, dinner 20. Many courses and drinks included. Fantastic if you're looking for a tasting menu.
Accidentally walked by this tavern, and had a satisfying lunch time there. The dishes are well cooked and really delicious, especially for creamy tiramisu! Highly recommend to everyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine.
A humble and small restaurant for locals.
Amazing food with very affordable prices during lunch time (10 euros per person for a starter, main course and dessert).
The waiter had excellent English and explained the dishes patiently.
Would recommend to come early or go to villa burgese while waiting as the place is rather small and can have quite the waitlist.
This was my final meal in Rome and what a wonderful way to end my trip. 10/10, and so glad I managed to dine here and so glad they were able fit me in as they were fully booked.
Excellent food, excellent service and well and truly a honest business that doesn't take advantage of tourists. Their prices are way too cheap for what they offer.
Do yourself a favour and make the trip out here if you're visiting Rome, it's right next to the Borghese Gardens, and will give you a sense of what I imagine an authentic Roman osteria would be.
Dropped in here for lunch on our way to Galleria Borghese. This modest little family run osteria provides great value tasty food, and is obviously a popular place with local workers. Luckily we only had a short wait for a table. We took advantage of the fixed price lunch menu; bruschetta, pasta or a main course, sweet (we had tiramisu), water and coffee. The waiter was friendly, good humoured and efficient. 5/5
